Just break the news to Mr. Obama that he is still invited but that the Catholic Church is going to give him an opportunity to get to be REALLY GREAT like the Catholics do it! NO Speeches, No Dinning on sumptuous food or drinking gin toddies…..just GET THE APRON ON and hey! If you want to be REALLY FAIR…invite Mr. ROMNEY to ALSO do this!!!
Then you invite NOT THE RICH….but you be sure to make a certain number of seats available for the POOR on the Streets of NY! Be sure to invite those that you find on the streets that are there who were once home owners and productive citizens but due to the mishandling of the country’s wealth have lost their jobs and their homes!

Jesus was criticized for dining with sinners. Just sayin'.....it's a dinner. You know. Eating together. Like Jesus did. Why is this hard?
ReplyDelete2 problems though, 1 Jesus didn't have dinner with Herod (at least with what was recorded), nor did he enjoy smiles with him...2. the sinners were open to conversion and knew that they were sinners. It would be one thing if it was AFTER the election, in which case I would have no problem with it....but it sets up a conflict of interest with the lawsuits, and various other issues going on with the present administration. The Cardinal has not earned my trust on this matter. And since the dinner has been denied to both Clinton and Kerry, I really don't see how it holds. I will be praying for His Eminence to change his mind. Good thing 2 Catholics can disagree on this and be in good standing with the Church eh :p
