Thoughts on the world, Orthodoxy, Catholicism Education, and anything else that comes up in my head. Views expressed are entirely my own, and not representative of anyone I may or may not work for.
I think the tendency to pray away temptations, is a bad idea, rather, we should pray for the courage to face and overcome said temptations is a much better use of our prayer life.
I thought we were to flee temptations? Temptations don't seem to go away, but pop up to often in front of us. So your praying for the courage to face them is more practical. Not that I've been that swift. But, my prayer life lately has included asking for the help of my angel and recently a little French saint named Germaine for help.
I've found in my own situations that temptations never seem to disappear :(....I'm flocking to a 2nd century saint named Tatyana....No kidding that the Faith was going to be a struggle
