7/2 Time Out Tues. Vol 6.

hosted by AOA

1) It is one thing to recognize that problems come from the lack of morality. It is another thing entirely to legislate it. Rick Santorum is not going to legislate morality as president. Contraception will not be banned, Sodomy will not be banned. Anything restricting rights will not be banned. The problem is that people treat contraception as a right when it is not. (It is a commodity). Abortion is the denial of life, so yes, that could be banned. The following are not rights: marriage, contraception, Abortion, extra-ordinary means of health care, and should not be treated as rights....

2) Some people do not realize how much that I care for them. I don't just say the things that I say for my own benefit. I say what needs to be said because ultimately I care about my friends and their well being. I just often wish, they'd listen more often to the advice that I give them. Especially when I've proven myself to be right on more than one occasion.

3) Youtube....thank God for it. I've found some of my favourite old cartoons as a kid.

7/2) Lent 2012 = Epic fail...fortunately there's time to keep going :)....Explain more later.

7/2 Time-out Tues Vol. 6 The "sin" tuesday...edition

LarryD at AOA hosts this:

1. Well, as all of you know tomorrow is Ash Weds. I have dubbed the day sin tuesday. Aka, do everything you're going to give up for Lent, then not do it for 40 days, then get right back into the habit (Sundays exclued). Of course this is not what Lent is about. It's about purification and striving for heaven. But I'm still going out for happy hour tonight :p

2. I locked myself out of my house last night...by accident...I'm okay....thanks be to God for friends out here.

3. Not giving up social networks or anything. It's actual penance to be on them

7/2. I have turned in my passport application....Now to fill out Russian Visa application...oh boy.

Thought of the day...

You have to be a complete idiot to think that Rick Santorum is going to legislate morality. It is one thing to recognize the fact that our problems have been caused by a lack of morality. It is another thing entirely to legislate such behaviour. Contraception will not be banned in his administration. The role of the government is to protect our natural rights: life, liberty and the pursuit (not obtainment thereof) of happiness. Let me translate this for you:

There will not by any of the following:

1) Laws banning contraception
2) Anti-Sodomy Laws

There could possibly be:

1) Laws banning abortion (As abortion is murder, role of the government is to protect life)
2) Laws defining life beginning at conception (A scientific fact)

As I have stated on this blog before, I don't think the state should marry ANYONE (straight or homosexual), Marriages should be left to religious institutions alone.

7/2 Time out Tuesday Vol 5 Hallmark Inc Day Edition

LarryD over at AOA is your gracious host

1) Yes, I do have a Valentine. Yes, I still hate this day. Some actual background though. St Valentine was a priest during the Roman Persecutions. He got decapitated for marrying people against the wishes of the roman emperor at the time. So he is a martyr for the Faith, and upholding the dignity of marriage. I guess that's pretty cool. I still hate the day

2) I must say, I think the real reason St Valentine got cut from the calendar....Someone in Hallmark was a Catholic (and female) and decided to make business sense and find a way to get guys to buy gifts for their ladies. It's worked, and thus St Valentine got cut from the calendar.

3) Well, a couple of weeks ago. I found out that my Russian friend Masha is coming to visit me next year. She of course asked me to be her valentine. To which I couldn't say no....even if I hate the holiday with a passion unlike any other. If you're expecting me to put pics on here. Not going to happen :p

7/2) It was on this day last year that I was basically told to leave the order that I was in. No need for me to go into details, but no one insults me and gets away with it. I don't care who you are :D...how times have changed.

Until next week.

On Obamacare....why the WHOLE THING needs to be thrown out, not just the mandate.

We need to understand a few things

a. Health care and Health insurance are NOT the same thing. The terms are used interchangebly when they shouldn't. Healthcare is the act through which doctors/nurses, etc take care of your health. Health insurance a risk pool in short designed to protect against catastrophes

b. There are 2 types of health care: ordinary: food and water. and extraordinary: everything else: surgeries, medicines, etc. There is a right to the ordinary means of care. There is NOT a right to the extraordinary means of care. On a simple basis: If it was a right, everyone would be a doctor and be able to do such.

There is the mandate forcing the Catholic Church in America to pay for abortions and contraceptions, which is against the beliefs of the Church. Contraception is not the point. The point is that the government does not have the authority to dictate to the Church, what she can fund, and what she must cover. This is about Religious Liberty.

Even if the mandate were taken away, there would still be a problem. Individuals funding abortions and contraceptions against their own beliefs.

Obamacare...all of it needs to go....not just the mandate.

1. Health Insurance is a good/service. If there is a good or service that you don't want you don't buy it. Some may use the example of auto insurance (yeah, that's wrong too)
2. Extra-ordinary means of health care is not a right. Sorry, it'd be nice if it was. Everything in the world is not a right. Positive rights can't be supported. The rights that we have are outlined in the Constitution. That's it.
3. Why should the government, which has managed to screw just about everything up....be trusted with something as valuable as your health? Shouldn't it be a relationship strictly between you and your doctor?
4. All life has dignity...period! doesn't matter. Life begins at conception. end of argument.
5. I refuse to pay for anyone's stupidity. If people want contraception, they can pay for it themselves. It's cheap and can be found at any drug store without a prescription. Only morons don't know this.

I need a drink...a few of them at that.

10 February 2012

I haven't done this in a while, the USCCB press release is my first victim

h/t to Fr. Z, this is also on the USCCB website...my comments in red...my commentary on the comnentary afterwards.

Bishops Studying Initial White House Movement On Religious Liberty
February 10, 2012
New opportunity to dialogue with executive branch (
eh, dialogue is two ways, monologue is more like it)
Too soon (well, soon enough for me to do this) to tell whether and how much improvement on core concerns
Commitment to religious liberty for all means legislation still necessary (The problem, this administration has zero commitment to religious liberty, nilch, nada, understand this Bishops')
WASHINGTON— The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) (I prefer DPAP) sees initial opportunities (to be deceived again) in preserving the principle of religious freedom after President Obama’s announcement today (lol, funny, anyone with a brain realizes what zero is trying to do, please hire me as your advisor, i'll save you the trouble: you'll be paying twice for moral evils). But the Conference continues to express concerns. “While there may b,e an openness to respond to some of our concerns (lol, openness, more like political double speak), we reserve judgment on the details until we have them,” said Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan, president of USCCB.
“The past three weeks have witnessed a remarkable unity of Americans from all religions or none at all worried about the erosion of religious freedom and governmental intrusion into issues of faith and morals,” he said. (Now, would this be a problem, had all the Bishops' spoken out against healthcare reform from the beginning?, perhaps not...this is what happens when you play ball with the gov't you lose)
“Today’s decision to revise how individuals obtain services that are morally objectionable to religious entities and people of faith is a first step in the right direction,” (one problem, there wasn't a change) Cardinal-designate Dolan said. “We hope to work with the Administration (why, they're not willing to work with you, you oppose everything they stand for) to guarantee that Americans’ consciences and our religious freedom are not harmed by these regulations.”
Extra comments:
1) For those of you that aren't familiar with Islam...lying to advance an agenda is called Taqiyya (if you want to correct my spelling, eh). Effectively, the zero administration is using this tactic from Islam to force Catholics and other religious institutions against their will (consciences). Now instead of employers having to pay, all will: Employers, employees and insurance companies. (We'll trade 1 and give you 3 instead). Whoever is advising the Bishops' needs to be fired. I'll happily replace the advisors.
2) What the Bishops' fail to realize the problem isn't just with Abortion, artificial contraception being covered. It's the WHOLE CONCEPT OF OBAMACARE. People being forced to buy things against their own will, is just flat out wrong. Secular governments play by secular rules, that's it. Bishops' stand up for subsidiarity...for your flock...While the system does need to be reformed. This is not how it should be done. The problem is that people are not participating in the market directly. No one knows the cost of any medical procedure because insurance automatically pays for it. But that's a topic for another post.
3) The "administration" does not want dialogue. Forget dialogue, presuming good will on the administration got you Obamacare. They are evil. Evil needs to be called evil and directly opposed.

More on the Prop 8 ruling...

An article I commented on through facebook here

I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not going to get into the legal ramifications of the law...I do however have a few other opinions.

a. The real problem is that judges effectively said that marriage is an entitlement. No one is entitled to marriage, orientation is irrelevant to the discussion to this point. You simply cannot walk up to anyone and "be married." Want to test the case out? Go up to any random stranger and ask "do you want to marry me?" You may actually get a "yes." But more than likely you'll get evil eyes thrown your way, or something along the lines of "are you crazy?" (To which you should answer yes and proceed to the nearest mental institution), or "no way, this must be a joke." Hopefully people would be more respectful than me in denying the request. My point is that marriage is an act of the will, a choice, it is not a right.

While the government certainly has a function in society, and can give some dictates. The things that they dictate are not rights. Sorry, you're not entitled to a job, a drivers license, or even a home (ownership of property is another thing though).

The government shouldn't be marrying anyone to begin with. That also is a problem. Marriage should be left to religious institutions. No, the government should not define a civil union as an alternative. Marriage should be left to the religious institutions alone. Since religious institutions are private, if the law is executed in this manner, it is assumed that you meet the conditions for marriage for that particular institution. It would not be discrimination, as I mentioned, if you don't meet the requirements, you can't get married, as simple as that. The way it should work, the person from the religious institution that witnesses the marriage should fill out the certificate of marriage, you send it to the state, that's it. This way the question of legality vs. illegality can't be questioned.

For people with Same Sex Attraction problems, there are PLENTY of denominations that would happily "marry" you if that's what you so wish....Find one that will allow you to do that. Don't go asking Catholics or those that are strict Bible teachers to marry you, it's not going to happen. Think before you act, I know it's a hard thing.

Prop 8 was supposed to be a constitutional amendment that defined marriage as between a "man and a woman." Now, I know that some of you went to liberal indoctrination centers (aka college and any public school in the west coast and other liberal states) and have probably heard that marriage has had different definitions through the centuries, and in allowing gay "marriage" we are just progressing in our definition. What they forgot to tell you in class: There is a difference between purpose and definition. In some cultures women were merely baby factories, in others, having relations with men was promoted. (Want an example of that, just look to Islam). The definition of marriage has never changed, it has always been between a man and a woman. The purpose of marriage has had had varying definitions through the centuries.

I do not believe that people are born homosexual anymore than people are born stupid. I believe both are psychological not genetic. (And everyone used to agree until 1973)....and if you want more proof that homosexuality is psychological...just look at Islam....in particular Afghanistan...but that is another post for another day...

So I guess it's on to the supreme court. Let's pray that common sense prevails. Of course I hope that's not asking for too much.

Pax Vobis

7/2 Time Our Tuesday Vol. 4

Hosted by LarryD at AOA

1) I've been through many things, so I'm able to pick up on various things. I love when people confirm the things that I say. Even better when they apologize when they know I'm going to be right. I'm not just a physics and math nerd, I'm a person who has lived through many things...I figure things out.

2) 2013 is going to happen. My friend from Russia is coming to visit me. I am quite excited about this. I mean quite excited...I am beyond joyful for this. As everyone knows I love Russian Culture. Communism sucks!, but we have to admit, the Soviet Anthem rocks!

3) I clearly need to re-take all the logic classes I've taken. A constitutional amendment has been proven unconstitutional. Well, it did go to the 9th court in California....it was doomed from the start. Prop 8 was overturned, you can read the article here...The will of the people in California once again is overturned. I'll say it again, since it bears repeating MARRIAGE IS NOT A RIGHT FOR ANYONE! NO ONE IS ENTITLED TO BE MARRIED! If I were president, I would get the state COMPLETELY out of the marriage business. People just don't get it. The people that are pro-traditonal marriage do NOT know who to articulate this point.

7/2) Rick Santorum kicked total booty today :). I hope he's the nominee.

06 February 2012

Real Problems with society...and their obvious solutions.

As a kid I was extremely quiet. I observed what happened in the world. Many of you who know me in real life, know that I'm quite shy at least until I get to know you, or we're taking on a subject that I can talk on. Well, my observations are simple, the solutions are even simpler...They are in no particular order.

a. Marriage, what happened?

What part of "till death till you part" or "in sickness or in heath" is not comprehendible? Are those words difficult? Well, duh, what do you think marriage is? Easy, LOL!. What a joke. It's really simple...If the Cross was difficult, our lives will not be easy. Humans go through fluctuations of emotions, sometimes these are beautiful and everything works wonderfully, sometimes not so much...

This means when one's spouse is dying in the hospital, that one stick by them, don't seek the next opportunity, and especially don't go off and marry said opportunity. This means that one does not go talking to other's of the opposite sex in a non platonic manner. It doesn't matter if said spouse is going to die. Under absolute zero circumstances is infidelity acceptable. ZERO NILCH NADA! The break down of the family has lead to the destruction of society.

Solution A: Get a dictionary. learn the definitions of all the words in the vows of marriage. Next idea, stick to them. I don't care if one needs shock therapy to stay faithful. Whatever it takes. Use the family unit as your means, especially when things get rough. Everyone's suffering, unite sufferings to the Cross. Stick together.

Solution B: Those that suffer from Same Sex Attraction (I'd use SSA, but that's a Geometry Theorem). Stop trying to get married. It's not marriage. It's not a right. You're not entitled to it. You have a psychological disorder (in the attempts to normalize this behavior it was removed from the psychological disorders list in 1973ish)...It's not impossible to overcome. Anyone with Same Sex Attraction can make it to heaven. It just requires of you what is required of everyone else...chastity, poverty, obedience.

b. Leaders? We don't have any

Between the zero administration always apologizing, or blaming the Bush administration for everything, and various other people I could criticize from my desk. What happened to leaders? What happened to going against the status quo?

I'll tell you, they've been paid to shut up. It's worked, and quite brilliantly. And while I'm pontificating from my chair...I need to say kudos to the Bishops who are speaking out, but I will say it again, Bishops' what did you expect when you asked the government to play ball? Did the seminary neglect to teach you about subsidiarity? Please re-take the course, I'll happily teach it for free. (There are exceptions to this of course, Bp Nickless is one of them, one of the few I remember standing up to Obummercare from the beginning)). The government has declared war on us, where do we stand? We must be willing to suffer.

Solution: Pray to God, that Leaders stand up. I will be putting my support behind Rick Santorum for President. Is he perfect? No, last time I checked Mary and Jesus are not not the ballot. But we do need someone who will stand up and call a spade a spade...which leads to my next point

c. Islam, yes it IS a problem

I have several friends that are Muslim, and who have rightfully condemned violence that has been committed by terrorists. That said. The religion as a whole is a problem. Why? There is no centralized authority to call terrorists out or to excommunicate them as in Catholicism. The next problem being that well, it's not a religion. It is a political system disguised as a religion...The language in the following video is a bit much, but the points are valid.

d. Obedience

All I have to say...this video from 2:06-2:28...for your edification

g. Word usage, how people can be so stupid....some prime examples.

a. Breast Cancer Awareness month: I'm perfectly aware of Breast Cancer. My mom died of it...How about changing the name to something better, like Breast Cancer Solutions? I'm perfectly aware....all too aware, and I think everyone in the country is too.

b. Nice...Did you ever read the word origins in the dictionary? It derives from the Latin word nescius--to know nothing. Don't call me nice. Don't believe me?....here ya go: Middle English:  foolish, stupid < Old French:  silly,simple < Latin nescius  ignorant, incapable, equivalent to ne- negative prefix + sci-  (stem of scīre  to know; see science) + -us adj. suffix

I'm not an English major, but I do believe in the proper use of vocabulary.

Prayer Requests

1) For my friend who is undergoing surgery.
2) For my family
3) For conversion of the world

Until the next time I decide to blog...

04 February 2012

Thought of the day

There are few things that can change a hardened heart like an apology and an admittance of wrong. One down, one more to go.

02 February 2012

Thought of the day

I don't like being forced to give information. I will give it on my own accord.

01 February 2012

Statements of Feb.

Since it is Feb, let me get some thoughts out the way:

1) Valentine's day does not exist in my calendar. I've hated it since 5th grade, and it will continue to be that way. I am thus protesting

 2) There are only 3 people I would consider reversing the protest for...and only 3 people.

3) Bombard me with love questions, and I will turn into evil Joe...you don't want that.

 4) Last but not least. It's the shortest month of the year. Thank goodness.
